We’re nearing the end of the decade, the final fortnight of a glorious 10 years for the men in red.

The current issue of Inside United looks back at the Reds' best matches and strikes, and ManUtd.com is continuing the theme by revealing our own special countdown to take us into 2010.

After much office debate, we’ve settled on a list of the top 10 players to have graced the United team in the last decade, 2000-2009.

We took several factors into account in finalising our order, including the players’ longevity, overall contribution and natural talent.

From Monday 21 December until Thursday 31 December, (excluding Xmas Day) the website will be counting down the list from 10 to one, presenting an argument for the inclusion of each player, along with a video of them in action.

Of course, our choices are bound to stir the passions of fans everywhere, and that’s what Talking Reds is for!

Throughout the countdown, you can post your own top 10s on our message board, and we’ll feature some of the best arguments on ManUtd.com.
